I was so happy to watch your videos and see songs performed that the Moodies no longer do. Esp Ray and Mike numbers.
I thought I was being so clever - at the end of the show last night I picked up the setlist and photographed it.. it was only today when I uploaded my pictures I found it was only the list for the second half of the show, I imagine the first half must have been on the other side
So I've racked my brain and looked at all my videos to try to remember what is in the first half (you would think that after 8 or 9 shows I'd know but I really don't !). This is what I think it is, though very definitely not in exactly the right order:
Fly Me High
Isn't Life Strange
House of Four Doors
Say It With Love
Thinking Is the Best Way to Travel
The Story in Your Eyes
The second half is (definitely):
The Eve of the War
The Other Side of Life
Never Comes the Day
Legend of a Mind
I'm Just a Singer
Ride My See Saw (encore)
Next time I will definitely get the first half properly
But what I did get this time was Paul singing Say It With Love, hurrah

Look forward to hearing how your friend enjoys it (or not !) ... I think they've only sold around 100 but there often seems to be a late surge so fingers crossed. They have Helen Wilson on flute for the next few shows - she is incredibly good, she really rocks the flute parts. She already knew a lot of the music before she even got the gig as her parents are fans ... a bit like another fab flautist we all know ?
Fingers crossed you make it Ros... I'll be there if you do !

Woo hoo just booked for Legend next May - long may this 'tour' continue
While I was away a friend of mine saw them in Weymouth, with a rather excellent dep on bass guitar - Patrick Duffin
A few more lovely Legend dates dripping through ... and most of them within striking distance of home ! Most also clash with 10cc gigs and other things that Mick Wilson is doing so I guess it's time to try out the dep . All I can say is that, so far, everyone who's been brought into the show has been absolutely fantastic so I'm optimistic they won't let us down !
(will be happy when Mick comes back tho )
And back to Legend of a Band now that all the excitement of September is over .... last night I went to Yeovil to see them, the second outing for Mick's dep. He is Patrick Smyth http://www.patricksmyth.co.uk/ an Irish singer. Good voice and had clearly learned the words... nailed Tuesday Afternoon which was the one that Mick mostly mixed the words up on . He doesn't play any instrument so looked a bit awkward at times, during the musical interludes. He was suggested by Pete Howarth and clearly is enjoying himself. He'll be doing the show until March when Mick returns. It was also great to see Lindsay Goodhand back last night on flute and sax. It was a good show, we're very happy to have them back again and the audience definitely enjoyed it.... Next is Hayes on Tuesday, one that was originally postponed due to lack of sales... hopefully they will have sold a few more this time around
Tom Toomey - I'd never heard of him either, I stood next to him in the foyer but it was wasted on me ! He lives in Yeovil, apparently.
Come to Horsham - 24th March, no tickets on sale yet
Yay ! That's the first one Mick's doing ....
I know.... ANY excuse ! But you really don't expect to bump into the lead singer of 10cc (and sometimes Legend of a Band) in a converted church in High Wycombe - like I did last Friday night

Tickets went on sale today
Soooo happy .... it seems that Mick Wilson is now doing both the Legend shows in mid November - 11/12 in Malvern and Market Drayton (plans must have changed.. again !). Well, I wasn't originally going to the second one but now of course I really have to ... and it's sold out too
Ros are you still thinking of Horsham ? ... And 10cc are now doing a short UK tour the first two weeks in April ... if the Moodies aren't coming any more then I think I've found my alternative - their eldest member (Graham Gouldman) being a mere 70 years old there's hopefully a good few years left ! And they are playing the London Palladium - what a fabulous venue ! Next year looking good already ... and we're still planning the little jolly to Holland in March !
